Annual graduation concerts are held in January. Locations have included San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, Dominican University, Holy Names University and Oakland Inter-Stake Center. They provide an opportunity to recognize the efforts of our students as they accomplish certain milestone in the Suzuki literature. Violin, viola, cello, and guitar are represented.
A thorough procedure has been developed for students to prepare for this exciting event. It is an opportunity for teachers to work as a team supporting each other's students and studios through thoughtful comments (evaluation forms) and rehearsals with the students for this event. In addition to the experience of performing their pieces on a recording, students receive a certificate and a commerative pin with their evaluation. All teachers of student participants help as volunteers for this special event and perform in a string orchestra to accompany the graduation conertos. All graduates perform together at a Celebration Concert.
